1437 (or 3437) Extender Dll Load Failure Error

Question:

I'm getting the 1437 error on a couple of machines on the AddExtender("WWODB34I.DLL") line. It works on many other machines.

Answer:

  1. Make sure you have the 32-bit ODBC client installed on the failing machine.

  2. Make sure the DLL is not corrupted (copy a fresh, working copy from another machine).

  3. Make sure you don't have other stray DLLs around on the search path that might be old or corrupt.

  4. Make sure you're loading the WWODB34I.DLL and not the WWODB32I.DLL with the 2001 version of Winbatch.
